Ever since I was 10 years old, I would help my dad make cowboy boots which is where I learned how to use a commercial sewing machine. When I moved to the United States, I started working on creating boat covers and different tapestries which was really exciting. I love that every seat, every car, and every project is so different. I feel proud when I see a car driving down the street that I worked on and can say “I did that!”When I moved to Colorado, I started my business. I feel like everything fell into place because I was walking down the street one day and saw a for sale sign and that’s how I was able to start my business here. Despite opening in the middle of the pandemic, I have been working in upholstery for over 10 years now and consider myself a specialist. I do a lot of work on the interiors of cars but also work on everything from the roof of a car to down to the carpet. Because of my business and my work, I have been able to help my family have a better life. I have two children and feel so proud that my daughter is a social worker in schools. I hope that one day I’ll be able to find an even bigger place that I can buy but for now I’ll keep pushing forward and continuing to work in this field that I love that is also helping my family and hopefully many others.
