I am originally from Veracruz, Mexico from the most beautiful port. I moved to Texas in 2011 and in 2019 my husband and I bought a mobile home and moved to Denver. I’ve worked in the restaurant industry for many years as a cook and a prep. I’ve always liked to prepare typical dishes of my homeland such as Veracruz fish, cocktail Vuelve a la Vida Veracruz, Veracruz seafood casserole, and a classic corn cake. Veracruz is a place where we eat lots of seafood so that’s what we offer in our restaurant and it is very delicious.I really like being a chef, being my own employer, and not depending on other people. During the COVID-19 pandemic I was in a stressful situation and I had a tight budget. I don’t like to compare myself to others because everyone has their own seasoning and style, but my saying is “that with God’s blessings, the sun shines on everyone.” I feel like I have been blessed.I would like to invite people who live around here to visit us and for everyone who is going to read my story to come and try the chorizo taco.
